If you could design an XPRIZE for infrastructure and housing, what would it be?

At Visioneering 2019, participants will pitch ideas for prize competitions in this domain to accomplished CEOs, world leaders, philanthropists, influencers and thought leaders.

Visioneering is an annual event for benefactors, where attendees help XPRIZE refine and iterate how we tackle global challenges, learn from one another about breakthrough efforts being conducted around the world, and hear and experience new exponential technologies that are reshaping society and helping to generate an abundant future for all.

You can get involved as well! Click on "New Discussion" to pitch your own idea for an XPRIZE. The top prize ideas will be shared with the crowd at Visioneering.

The author of the best prize idea will win tickets to an exclusive XPRIZE event on October 5: an evening of dinner and dancing under the lights of the La Brea Tar Pits at the limited-time architectural creation, Second Home Serpentine Pavilion, in Los Angeles.

Submissions are now closed. The winner will be announced soon.

Present day problem is to design and construct a house that is comfortable to live in, Brings the chances of loss of life to near zero, environment friendly, reduces the construction time to about 40%, Construction cost to about 50%, Land used to less than 5%, fire, water, wind and earth quake resistant, non-destructible under floods and heavy rains, have the basic amenities of water, sewerage and power, possibly independent of the grids, theft and burglar proof and use mostly local materials and skilled persons in construction.

Thank you @Ashok! Do you know of any current projects that are attempting these goals, or similar standards?

Yes, They are very much achievable. I do not know of any project attempting these goals but my computations on paper have given me enough confidence to undertake such projects, if finances are available.
I have completed projects which have met 80% of these standards.
