The deadline for teams to register for this challenge is October 31st at 11:59 PM PST.
1. Create your free individual account profile on the XPRIZE Prize Operations Platform (POP). Complete your individual account profile.
2. Create your team on POP.
3. Sign the Competitor Agreement and provide a Team Questionnaire prior to the deadline.
The XPRIZE Prize Operations Platform (POP) is the central portal for competing teams during the life cycle of the prize. POP is a virtual system that allows competing teams to interact with each other and with the XPRIZE Prize Operations team.
POP is mostly used for finding team members, completing prize activities, and submitting documents for registration and testing.
This challenge is structured into four rounds over 24 months.
Teams are often formed from startups, university groups, small to midsize companies, high school students, families, or even individuals. Teams can have any background, including but not limited to technical disciplines or professions in the fields of education, data science, and others. We believe the best new ideas can come from anyone!

The winning team of the Digital Learning Challenge will build systems to conduct rapid, reproducible experiments and demonstrate the resilience and rigor of this infrastructure in a formal learning context.
The winning team must minimally demonstrate its ability to:
A $500,000 (USD) Grand Prize will be awarded to the team that develops the most innovative and practical solution that meets or exceeds the requirements of the challenge.
The Runner Up Team will be awarded $250,000 (USD) according to the Judging Panel’s discretion.
Following the Pilot Stage of the challenge, the Judging Panel will assess all Team submissions to select up to 5 teams to proceed to the Demonstration Stage of the challenge, with the group evenly splitting a Milestone Prize of $250,000. These funds are intended to help offset costs associated with early solution development and Pilot Stage testing.

Grand Prize: $500,000 (USD)
Runner Up Prize: $250,000 (USD)
Milestone Prize: $250,000 (split between up to 5 Teams)
