Dr. Jessica Strefler is a senior scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). She received a diploma in physics from Humboldt University Berlin and earned her doctorate at the TU Berlin and PIK on the topic of non-CO2 emissions in global energy systems. She has more than ten years of experience in the fields of energy system transformation and integrated assessment modelling. Her current research is focused on the influence of different carbon dioxide removal technologies on global climate change mitigation strategies, and on carbon capture usage and storage.
