Dr. Camila Françolin is the Division Leader for the Autonomy, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (AGN&C) Division at Draper. Under her leadership, the AGN&C Division, comprised of over 150 technical staff, develops algorithms and software for a variety of applications; from autonomous underwater vehicles for the US Navy to human spaceflight programs for NASA. Prior to her current role, Dr. Françolin held the role of Group Leader for the Perception & Autonomy Group at Draper. In that capacity, she helped grow the group’s technical footprint in the area of robotics through an emphasis on business development and external partnerships. Before undertaking her roles in Engineering management, she focused on the development of novel algorithms for a variety of motion planning problems, most notably for autonomous underwater vehicles and robotic manipulators. She holds a B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
